| After more than 3 years, Wojtek Staroniewicz staged in the SPATiF again, this time with his regular bassist – Piotr Lemańczyk and a special guest – Brian Melvin as a drummer. Brian`s a friend of Al Foster, he used to play with John Scotfield and Jaco Pastourious, also at the Blue Note in New York. We all knew that Wojtek`s trio was capable of playing superb jazz, but that time with every pieceof music the audience was getting more and more stunned. Brian and Piotr were on the top of their game and Wojtek didn`t fall behind, as a result the second part of the concert was a real jazz blast. Finally, Brian solo showed how to play instruments such as Kandzira and Tabla, which was greeted with rapturous applause. Of course, after numerous calls, they had to play few encores. Wojtek – we were delighted to play a host and only what we need is more such stuff here. Brian – we have to prepare new polish jazz blast in SPATiF. It`s your inspiration and message for the next jazz musician of the world to play in SPATiF.
