Coffee and cigarettes, coffee and cigarettes, coffee and cigarettes, coffee and cigarettes, coffee and cigarettes, coffee and cigarettes.
that`s exactly how the performance, delivered by the young artist Arkadiusz Okoński, finished.
The three act play inspired by Jim Jarmusch`s film with the same title, but as the author himself told us, the play had been set in the Polish context. The idea was good, all the better that the action took place in the stage design of the antediluvian train, hired from the Polish Railways. A half of the announced cast didn`t come or better to say, the half of unannounced cast didn`t come, hence the director with the assistance of his weakened friend Martinez had to save the day themselves. Martinez played impressively the part of a hanged man. The special guest, Arek Jakubik found out ten minutes before the performance start up that he was going to play the part which was supposed to be played by his absent partner from the 3 rd act. The director himself seemed to be topsy turvy because of this situation. However he stirred up interest of the audience that arrived in great numbers which was a bit odd because the director wasn`t widely known like for instance Ed Wood. When we were distmantling the stage it turned out that Mr Okoński`s behaviour reminded us of some individual from Odessa, who did a bunk two days before his exhibition, that`s why, our caretaker - Kazio nicknamed him "Little Misha".
The video installation was presented by Robert Sochacki, who had been wandering across railways stations of the capital county for two months.
